The 4th of July is almost here and summer parties are coming up soon. I love it when the family gathers. However, as all of you know, the holidays bring constant feeding, cleaning, and laundering I recently received a tip from local chef Jane Ridolfi which could be a winner. It was for Gourmet Kitchen a food place in Neptune, New Jersey (open to public Phone: 732-774-0001) they specialize in frozen high quality delicious hors d’oeuvres and snacks like mini- hamburgers 18 for /$19.50, crab cake 22 for $23.50, mini beef Wellington puffs 25 for$26 , and wild mushroom tarts 22/ for $17.50. Mail order is a fairly new concept for them, but if you are in the shore area just drop by. You just pop the hors d’oeuvres in the oven and everyone is happy. For holidays, I also buy croissants from Costco; they are inexpensive and really good, I marinate and cook a turkey breast and make a turkey meatloaf, all waiting to be made into sandwiches.
In a previous blog, “A Runners Wife” I spoke about my husband training for the NYC marathon. All I have to say is that the months of training all came together of an amazing race. Race day is a grueling day for runners, and the family. But a miracle happened...
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
