Went to Saks Fifth Avenuearmed with a very substantial holiday gift card. My mission was to buy a really nice new leather wallet. In Saks’ there isn’t a central place to buy leather goods. You must shop the individual designers that are scattered all over the main floor. Believe it or not, I couldn’t find a wallet from any of the designers for under $350. In all fairness to Saks, they don’t dictate the prices the designers do. The store was fairly empty except for a few European and South American tourists. Even the sales associate, from a top Italian outpost, was embarrassed to tell me she did not have a wallet under $350. I guess it is back to Target.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
