Hotels on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Route
Our emails are already filled with questions about this years Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year the parade route is changing its course. The parade route will start at 77th Street and Central Park West and ultimately end up on 6th Avenue. See map of the new Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Route. This means that many of the hotels on Broadway will no longer be suitable for parade viewing and a new set of hotels will have views of the parade. Here are some hotels along the route ranging from the moderately priced Park Central Hotel with rooms as low $200 to very pricey Trump International Hotel &Tower with its view rooms for over $2000 per night and three-night minimum. Other hotels along the route include the Renaissance New York Hotel- Times Square, the Sheraton Manhattan, the Michelangelo Hotel, the Wellington, and the Bryant Park Hotel (not child friendly). Also notable is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which is offering the “I Love the Parade” package. The package includes a one-night stay with complimentary access to the ballroom on the 36th floor for parade viewing. Rates start at around $895 and does not guarantee a room with a view of the parade. Also, if you are making a restaurant reservation after the parade don’t limit yourself to the parade route. Go east or head downtown and you will feel less pressure
In a previous blog, “A Runners Wife” I spoke about my husband training for the NYC marathon. All I have to say is that the months of training all came together of an amazing race. Race day is a grueling day for runners, and the family. But a miracle happened...
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
