Hoboken, NJ -- Dawn Zimmer will hold on to the top spot at Hoboken City Hall. Zimmer has been serving as the acting mayor since former Mayor Peter Cammarano resigned in July. Zimmer beat out a field of six candidates to retain the post. Zimmer succeeded Cammarano, who was arrested three weeks into his term after getting swept up in a federal political corruptions scandal. Cammarano is accused of taking 25-thousand-dollars in cash bribes, but maintained his innocence. Zimmer will serve as the mayor of the Mile Square City until 2013.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
