Republican Pavia Wins Stamford Mayoral Race

Stamford, CT  --  Republican Michael Pavia has been elected as Stamford's next mayor.  A little more than an hour after the polls closed, Democrat and city Board of Representatives President David Martin conceded the race to Pavia, offering congratulations and any assistance possible.  The loss ends his run of more than 25 years in public office.  Democratic Mayor Dan Malloy was not seeking reelection, leaving office after 14 years to focus on a run for governor.
