WOR morning program host John Gambling crossed over into the afternoon today to visit Lou Dobbs and discuss the shocking Republican victory in yesterday's Massachusetts election.
What a day for the history of the independent movement in America! Massachusetts, the most partisan state in America, has swung way to its right to elect a Republican, Senator-Elect Scott Brown, to replace Ted Kennedy in a seat that he occupied for almost 50 years. America never ceases to amaze.
Lou Dobbs pointed out on his program today that the Massachusetts elections are momentous not just because of Scott Brown's proximity to victory despite being a Republican in Massachusetts. This will mark the first time in 46 years that Ted Kennedy is not a senator from there. Should this be a wake-up call to Americans that maybe half a century of representation in the Senate is too long?

For members of the Independent Nation and those who understand the importance of individual freedoms and small government, getting rid of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is a no-brainer. But with his recent racial comments coming to light, there may be a critical mass of Nevada voters ready to expel him from the Senate, and a potential candidate in the wings.
