New does not mean good. New means it Never Ever Worked.I see proof of this all week long. Take today for example. A car came in and it needed a wheel bearing. Clean and clear cut, bad bearing. New one comes with the ABS sensor built right in. Took it apart, replaced it with new and roadtested down the road. Bing! The ABS light pops on. Back to the shop. Look it over, test a few things and I decided the new part must be no good. Ordered and installed another one. WOW, this one worked. No light, no problem, done. What a concept. Remember, new does not mean good. And its getting worse as the economy and lack of skilled people to make parts increases.
