I have to tell you. For the first week in January, just after the holidays, we are BUSY. My theory of watching the front counter for a true indication of economic conditions still holds true. People are spending money to fix their older cars, not just because they can't get credit (more on that in a minute) but because they really don't want to take on any more debt. This whole lack of credit thing by the way is not 100% accurate. It has hurt car sales BUT with less jobs, a down stock market and a global recession they don't need more cars. My gut tells me we are 6 months from bottom and then it will be a long way up. But in the meantime we're busy. I'll take it while I can. Hey, you never know when it could stop!
