WITH THIS MUCH WORK IT MUST BE JULY?!?!

I have to tell you. For the first week in January, just after the holidays, we are BUSY. My theory of watching the front counter for a true indication of economic conditions still holds true. People are spending money to fix their older cars, not just because they can't get credit (more on that in a minute) but because they really don't want to take on any more debt. This whole lack of credit thing by the way is not 100% accurate. It has hurt car sales BUT with less jobs, a down stock market and a global recession they don't need more cars. My gut tells me we are 6 months from bottom and then it will be a long way up. But in the meantime we're busy. I'll take it while I can. Hey, you never know when it could stop!

This Sunday the 11th the Car Doctor welcomes Bob Lutz of General Motors. He is stopping by the garage to talk cars, GM and the future of the industry. Scheduled for 11:15 EST on the WOR Radio Network; local affiliates will air it accordingly or check back here next week. Our webmaster is planning to post the audio seperately for all to download. A must hear interview...

See you on radio

Ron

Pray for Us

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.

Great food matched with lovely wines

Here is a list of wines all from Spain, and menus from restaurants in Brooklyn where a crew of us  did a food / wine crawl through Carrol Gardens and Williamsburg recently
