As I was having my dinner, chicken parmesan with broccoli (recipe from The Today Show diet guru Joy Bauer) I heard the news that Caroline Kennedy had decided not to seek Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat. A tough decision, but probably in her best interest. Carolyn can use the next two years to project her image, acquire public speaking skills, and go for it if she chooses. Whatever her reason for ending her Senate bid, it is a loss for us. She is a smart thoughtful woman who would add a lot to the table.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
