Holder's clears Senate Judiciary Committee on a 17-2 vote

After the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 17-2 to send Attorney General nominee Eric Holder's name to the full senate with a positive reccomendation, there was lots of speculation as to why all but two brave republican senators voted in the affirmitive. The Washington Times said that Holder had assured a republican on the committee that he would not go after Bush administration officials for their treatment of terror suspects. But, apparently, that's not the case.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
