What would you do if your child even grown up child was in a play, getting an award , having a piano or dance recital? You would go, buy lots of tickets, tell everyone RIGHT. So this is what we did. Son, John Hamburg’s new movie, “I Love You Man” was opening this past weekend so we acted the way most normal parents would act – we galvanized the troops buying up movie tickets left and right. When I told my husband he should buy senior tickets at a discount he said they wouldn’t count. When we got to the early bird showing and the theatre was half empty I blamed him. At least I begged, give away those tickets. No, he said. Are you crazy. Then they won’t buy their own and it really won’t count. I also ttwittered and face booked all my friends in cyber space – told them to tell their friends too. This is what a Mom does. Let me know next time your kid has a concert.
