Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks
The annual Macy's Fireworks will kick off at around 9:20 PM on Saturday, July 4. This year the fireworks will be released from six barges on The Hudson River to celebrate Independence Day and the 400th Anniversary of Henry Hudson's exploration of the Hudson River.

Nathan's will hold its annual hot dog eating contest in Coney Island at 11 am.

Statue of Liberty Crown
The Statue of Liberty crown is re-opening on July 4th! The crown, which has been closed since Sept. 11, 2001 will allow people in on a lottery based system. Big Onion Walking Tours will hold a tour at 1 pm of sites related to the Revolutionary War in Lower Manhattan.
