Police Investigate String Of Robberies On The Upper East Side

The NYPD now reports the beating of a man on the Upper East Side may not have been an isolated incident.

Thirty-six-year-old Joseph Holladay suffered a head wound when he was attacked last Saturday on East 85th Street.  The group of attackers was allegedly yelling anti-gay slurs at the time.

NYPD Police Commissioner Ray Kelly says there may have been other robberies fitting a similar MO.

Police say the two other violent muggings took place in May on the Upper East Side, where a gang of four attacked and robbed two men.

The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating three of the incidents.
