It was quite a week for President Barack Obama. He was called a "racist" by talk show host Glenn Beck and called an "arrogant man" by Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard and Fox News Channel. His poll numbers continued to tank on just about every issue including health care and his approval rating. But none of the above stopped him from having a beer on Thursday evening outside the White House.
More than a week after exposing himself once again, by labeling the actions of Cambridge police Sgt. James Crowley as "acting stupidly" in the arrest of his buddy Harvard professor Henry Lewis Gates, the president joined with the two principles, and for some unknown reason, vice president Joe Biden, for a round of beers at a picnic table by the Rose Garden. How sad.
Instead of simply taking back his original outrageous statement, Obama made things worse by later claiming that both Gates and Crowley had "overreacted." And then came the beer. But not before, as an official White House photo shows, the president led the way down the White House steps very impressed with himself, while it was Sgt. Crowley who took the right arm of Mr. Gates, helping him down the steps, as Gates managed a cane with his left hand. And once the men made their respective ways to the assigned table, and the beers arrived, how shameful it all looked. There sat the Commander-In-Chief, drinking a beer, having a grand old time, while the monthly death toll for U.S. troops in Afghanistan reached its high water mark for the entire war. Not to mention the 120,000 troops still in harms way in Iraq. But there was Mr. Obama, without a care in the world, making a spectacle of himself. Unfortunately, Obama also hits the linx on nearly a weekly basis, something President G.W. Bush stopped doing once we went to war in Iraq. Well at least Obama makes the time for the golf on Sunday's, you see he doesn't go to Church!

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
