Gingrich: When It Comes To Health Care, Demcorats Are Desperate
Health Care Town Hall meetings have been headline news featuring angry Americans in all parts of the country sharing their views, some times loudly, sometimes not so loudly with those who Represent them in Washington. Newt Gingrich, Former Speaker of The House from 1995 to 1999 says that it is sad that the President is playing the division card rather than putting together a bi-partisan approach to this bill. Apparently, the Democrats are pretty desperate to get this passed now - because they know the longer that Americans get to see what these bills entail, they will not support them. And the evidence shows at all the Town Hall Meetings being held across the country. Gingrich noted that the American people are really paying attention to the Health Care reform bill and what saddens him is that some House members are refusing to meet with voters about the bill. This point has been reflected on the John Gambling Show where listeners have been calling all week complaining that their representatives are not holding Town Halls to ehar what they have to say about Health Care Reform.
Gingrich believes that The Democrats do sincerely believe that there are imposing Big Government for the people and so now, they are shocked that people are not on board with the things they have done so far. He cites the Government's handling of Katrina, the decay of Public Schools in America, the way our border is taken care of - so what is the answer? Contracting Government says the Former Speaker of the House. Big Government cannot deliver a dramatically better future and the American people need to reel in what going on in Government now. If all the American people communicate how they feel about what is happening, the question still remains: will Washington listen? Mr. Gingrich says that he doesn't have the answer to that right now.
