(Stony Brook, NY) -- Governor Paterson attempts to backtrack from the controversy surrounding his recent remarks on race and media bias during a stop at Stony Brook University on Long Island.
The governor is downplaying his statements from recent days, denying he's blaming his plummeting poll numbers on race.
The governor visited the Stony Brook campus to announce the formation of task-force to reduce energy bills and produce cleaner electricity for New Yorkers.
