Glenn Schuck reporting for WOR...

(New York, NY) -- Mayor Michael Bloomberg made his first campaign stop this morning on the heels of Comptroller Bill Thompson's victory last night.

Mayor Bloomberg shook hands with commuters in Forest Hills, Queens. The Mayor also addressed the comments made by Thompson last night, blasting his record.

Mayor Bloomberg was joined by former New York City Mayor Ed Koch at the campaign stop at the corner of 71st Avenue and Queens Boulevard.

Bloomberg is seeking a third term in office, following a change in the city's term limits law allowing him to run.

Meanwhile, Democratic nominee for mayor Bill Thompson is hitting the general election campaign trail against Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Thompson and the Mayor are schedule to square off in two debates before the general election in November.
