All right Christine, Who's It Gonna Be?

You can feel it in the air can't you? The weather is changing, the air is crisp, the sun is shining bright (but not so hot), football is dominating our Sunday T.V.'s and it's less than two months until election day. We as voters have until November 4th to make up our minds  about who we are going to vote for - but not everyone is afforded that luxury. One such person is our City Council Speaker, Christine Quinn who will face a lose/lose situation no matter who she endorses. After convincing the City Council to change term limits last year, Quinn has a tough choice: endorse Mayor Bloomberg or his challenger Democratic Candidate Bill Thompson. Quinn, a democrat, risks losing her spot as City Council Speaker if she breaks party lines to endorse the Mayor. And, the fun doesn't stop there for the Speaker, endorsing Bloomberg puts Quinn in a precarious position with voters: she pushed hard to change term limits so that Mayor Bloomberg could run for a third term; not endorsing him might just crush whatever is left of her credibility with voters.

The way I see it, the longer Quinn waits to endorse a candidate , the more her constituents are going to raise their eye brows about her credibility. Hey if she really can't decide she can always do Eeny meeny miny mo.

Marathon Miracle

In a previous blog, “A Runners Wife” I spoke about my husband training for the NYC marathon. All I have to say is that the months of training all came together of an amazing race. Race day is a grueling day for runners, and the family. But a miracle happened...

Pray for Us

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.

Great food matched with lovely wines

Here is a list of wines all from Spain, and menus from restaurants in Brooklyn where a crew of us  did a food / wine crawl through Carrol Gardens and Williamsburg recently
