Political Re-Runs

If Elliot Spitzer can do it, why not Vito Fosella.  The former Staten Island Congressman reportedly is thinking about running for his old seat, and why not.  We live in a very forgiving society, look at Elloit Spitzer’s poll numbers, despite his dealings with a prostitute people are ready to vote for him again.

In the case of Fosella again there was sex, but also a DWI conviction.  Not to diminish the dangers of drinking and driving but there are a lot of political figures who have been snagged, and many more who have just not yet been caught.
Hey Michael Vick is back drawing applause playing football after his conviction for killing dogs and dog fighting.

As Vito looks to come back Governor Paterson may be looking for a way out.  Despite his strong insistence that he will run for election in 2010 with his low poll numbers and little or no support from state or national democrats including the White House, I will be the house he doesn’t run.  There is even a very good chance he may not even serve out his term.

Pray for Us

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
