Feds worried about Blagojevich TV appearance

CHICAGO -- Federal prosecutors say they want ousted Gov. Rod Blagojevich to agree to limit what he says about his corruption case if he goes on Donald Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice" television show.

U.S. District Judge James B. Zagel said at a hearing Monday he is also worried that whatever Blagojevich says on the show might cause complications at his corruption trial. The trial is scheduled to start June 3.

Blagojevich was in New York last week as taping got under way for the show, which is scheduled to air on NBC next March.

Prosecutors did not ask Zagel to bar Blagojevich from going on the show. But they asked his attorneys for an agreement limiting what he might say.

Zagel told both sides to try to reach an agreement and report to him later.

Pray for Us

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
