It’s time to say good-bye to State Senator Hiram Monserrate. While he managed to escape conviction on the most serious charges involving the slashing of his girlfriend, there is no doubt he should not keep his job. Most reasonable people don’t believe his story that he the slashing, the video evidence clearly indicates he man-handled his girlfriend after the incident. He is clearly guilty of some form of domestic violence, and he should not sit in the New York State Senate. It’s a view that is shared by the states two US Senators and thousands of New Yorkers, so Hiram, man-up and step down.
From New Jersey, lets give independent gubernatorial candidate Chris Daggett a look. There must be something to this guy if Republicans are running attack ads. Generally speaking I don’t pay much attention to third party candidates, but Daggett may offer New Jersey residents a refreshing change. I must admit I’m not sure where he stands on many of the issues, but if Republicans are spending money to attack him, I think he is worth a look. If nothing else he would give us a break from the two majority partites neither of which has done much for the taxpayer.
