TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras -- Opposition radio and television stations have returned to the air in Honduras after the government lifted a three-week broadcast ban.
Radio Globo and Channel 36 began broadcasting Monday, just hours after interim President Roberto Micheletti's administration rescinded a decree that had limited constitutional guarantees such as freedom of press and freedom of assembly.
Ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya is currently holed up in the Brazilian embassy and elections are scheduled for next month.
