Philadelphia, PA -- The "Philadelphia Inquirer" newspaper is apologizing for an ad in today's paper offering Phillies 2009 World Championship merchandise.
The ad was for Macy's and featured the World Series championship T-shirts with the Phillies logo. Philadelphia lost Game Four of the series to the New York Yankees Sunday night. The Yankees can clinch their 27th World Series title with a win tonight at Citizens Bank Park in Philly as they lead three games to one. The "Inquirer's" vice president of national advertising has issued an apology calling Macy's a "great corporate citizen, supporter of this region and our sports teams" and saying the paper is sorry for any inconvenience the ad caused.
In a previous blog, “A Runners Wife” I spoke about my husband training for the NYC marathon. All I have to say is that the months of training all came together of an amazing race. Race day is a grueling day for runners, and the family. But a miracle happened...
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
