NY Governor George Pataki joins the Steve Malzberg Show to discuss the dropping out of Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava from the 23rd Congressional District race in NY.
Governor Pataki was one of many Republicans who supported Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman, who will now take on Democrat Bill Owens. Governor Pataki explains that the dropping out of Scozzafava has been caused by a grassroots rebellion which chose to support Hoffman over Scozzafava because of her position on various conservative issues. He believes that regardless of the polls, which have Hoffman leading Owens pretty substantially, this will end up being a close race. However, he does believe that many in upstate New York do not approve of the direction the current administration and government is taking the country in and Hoffman and the Conservative Party represents that opposition.

In a previous blog, “A Runners Wife” I spoke about my husband training for the NYC marathon. All I have to say is that the months of training all came together of an amazing race. Race day is a grueling day for runners, and the family. But a miracle happened...
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
