Governor Paterson Releases First Ads Of His Campaign
(New York, NY) -- Governor Paterson aims to end the political speculation if he'll drop out of the race for next year's governor.
The governor launches two, 30-second television spots that begin airing today as Paterson begins his bid for his first full term.
Both television ads will introduce Paterson to New Yorkers and highlight the difficult fiscal decision he has faced in office.
The ads will run statewide.
Recent polls show Governor Paterson has low approval rating and would lose to either state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and former city Mayor Rudy Giuliani in potential match-ups.
Neither Cuomo or Giuliani have formally entered the race.
The Obama White House has recently urged Paterson not to run next fall.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the senate judiciary committee and basically shrugged when asked if any other enemy combatant captured overseas had ever been brought to civilian criminal court to face justice. Talk about an incompetent boob, not to mention a disgrace.
