Andy’s monologue today was focused on today’s Top 5 Stories.  He talked about Obama’s pledge last week to give arms to Syrian Rebels.  He also played audio from Sarah Palin’s speech over the weekend where among many other things she said that Allah should sort it out in Syria and that we should mind our own business.  Andy moved on to last night’s Miss USA Pageant and played Miss Utah’s response to the wage inequality question posed by a Real Housewife.  It’s pretty classic.  He did a recap of Edward Snowden’s Q&A on the Guardian today essentially reiterating his support for Bradley Manning and finally he reported that the HHS has issued a new ruling that requires all agencies and insurers to swap health care data.  I joined him in studio to hear some of the voicemails that rolled in over the weekend, mostly just mean ones about me.  Dan Holler called in to analyze some of the top five stories and give his perspective on Mayor Bloomberg’s new idea to implement city wide composting.  I came back in studio for a short Bizarre News; we talked about a man that survived a 15 floor fall, the details of that strange Hong Kong to Newark flight, and why you don’t share your BBQ with a bear!

It was nice to welcome Mike Walker back into his regular spot today after missing last week and full NSA coverage.  He had a lot to talk about; my favorite was Matt Damon being terrified that he may have caught HPV from Michael Douglas in the filming of Behind The Candelabra.  Mercedes Schlapp called in for her regular hit also speaking about the Bloomberg composting idea, she likes it.  Andy took a lot of your calls.  

Dr. Mitch!!!  I’m so happy he was back today, his stories were amazing.  They talked about an Australian woman who woke up with a French accent following a car crash, how growing a beard could save you from skin cancer, and a mom in Pennsylvania that likes to drink blood.  Andy closed the show with your calls.

Andy did a quick roundup where he reported that the top story on the Today Show this morning was not about Syria, it was not about the NSA or the IRS…it was about a deck that collapsed at a Miami Sports bar, killing no one and wetting several.  Chaos!  He also spoke about an FBI director that admitted to not interviewing anyone associated with the IRS scandle when it came to singling out Tea Party groups for audits.  I came in studio for Bizarre News, we talked about a man arrested after demonstrating his First Amendment rights, a 94 year old Nazi has been found living in Minnesota, and the possibility of more victims in the Cleveland Sex Dungeon Case.

Matt DeBord called in for the Business Report.  They spoke about the 9-0 Supreme Court ruling on DNA, how to simplify the tax code, and the latest advice from Angela Merkel telling unemployed people to leave Europe if they’re unhappy.  Dan Hampton joined Andy to discuss the war in Syria and then Andy took your calls.

After a bunch more calls Producer Michelle (still not engaged) called in for her Entertainment Report.  She previewed the movies coming out this weekend: This is The End and Man of Steel.  I’m DEFINITELY checking out This is The End, I have a crush on Seth Rogen.  They also did a reading of the amazing correspondence between Charlie Sheen and Teen Mom Farrah Abraham.  Pure entertainment.  Have a great weekend!

Andy started the show with some stories from the Content Grill.  He spoke about how the IRS scandal has been completely wiped from the media in what he’s calling The Edward Snowden Effect.  He also introduced Avril Haines, number two in the CIA, and spoke about her previous job as a proprietor of erotic books.  Lastly, we got a Weiner Alert – he’s vowing to live off food stamps for one whole month but ultimately misses the point completely.  Andy had a short monologue today about how the Chinese will continue to use Snowden as propaganda.  He is fast becoming a pseudo celebrity and once they’re done with him, they’ll ship him back here to face the music.  Bryan Suits called in to debte the overreach by the NSA, the concept of liberty vs. security, and what the future holds for Edward Snowden.  Andy took some of your calls.

Paul Westcott joined Andy to give his opinion on Edward Snowden and how the expose in the Guardian was not even fact checked.  They got into the deeper discussion about why America needs secrets and where libertarians and liberals meet when it comes to this NSA issue.  I came in studio for a full Bizarre News.  We talked about Snowden’s man-totem, a woman’s body found in her submerged car five years after going missing, the NFL’s newest stadium policy, and how a young British girl was mistaken for a unicorn at Customs.

Even Brad Cohen wanted to share his thoughts on the NSA leak scandal and even spoke about the group that is suing the NSA for 23 billion.  He also spoke about whether his client, Dennis Rodman, will be returning to North Korea.  They also analyzed the strange case of a woman that was fired from her teaching job because she had an unstable abusive husband – is this wrongful termination?  Andy closed the show with your calls.
