In today's Video Monologue entitled Late Night TV and Politics, Andy gives two specific examples in which late night talk show hosts tackle topics that the main stream media won't. First David Letterman asks Al Gore about Al Jazeera being anti-American, which no one has asked him yet. The main stream media has challenged him on selling Current TV to a company backed by oil, thus hypocritically 'profiting from oil.' Yet, they have never brought up the hate for America that Al Jazeera has displayed in the past. Secondly, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez who slept with underage prostitutes has been skating by unscathed in the press. But, Jay Leno made some pretty funny jokes about it on his show last night. Andy gives him kudos for at least mentioning it. Next, Producer Miranda comes in studio for some Bizarre News! Men who do more housework get less sex and Casey Anthony wants to become a Paralegal.
Attorney Justin Leto opens Hour 2 with the days top legal stories. Do prisoners have the right to gender reassignment surgery? Also, what happened to the Colorado movie theater shooting lawsuits? Next, guest Sam Sheridan comes on to talk about his awesome book The Disaster Diaries. He gives amazing tips on how to prepare for disasters.
Congressman Jeff Landry comes on next to discuss the story of how he prevented Obama from making appointments that were against the Constitution. Later, Andy takes calls about Hillary Clinton potentially running in 2016.
Have a great night everybody!
