Michael N. Connors was born in 1950 on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. In 1954 his family moved to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where he lives today with his wife and son.
After graduation from Pace University in 1972, he served in the United States Army Military Police in Wurzburg, Germany. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, Mr. Connors decided to study law and graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1979.
He began private practice in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, in 1981 assisting friends and neighbors with Estate Planning and Elder Law. With the formation of Connors and Sullivan in 1986, one of the premier Trust and Estates firms in New York City was born.
Known for his expertise in Estate Planning, Mr. Connors conducts seminars for major corporations including AT&T, MetLife, Merrill Lynch, Con Edison, Catholic Charities, and HBO; as well as AARP, Bell Telephone Retirees, Pan American Retirees, unions, retirement communities, churches, and community centers. Understanding the need to be current with ever changing national, state, and local Medicaid regulations and eligibility rules, Mr. Connors offers professional seminars to hospitals and nursing homes advising doctors, nurses, social workers, and administrators.
Mr. Connors also conducts seminars open to the public throughout New York City to discuss Estate Planning, Tax Law, and Elder Law; welcoming the elderly and their families to learn about Medicaid options in New York State. Because of the firm's ability to coordinate Estate Planning, Tax Law, and Elder Law issues, Connors and Sullivan has gained the respect and trust of clients throughout the city with offices in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bayside, Middle Village, and Staten Island.
