(Makes two sandwiches)

Ingredients
4 slices good jewish rye bread
8 slices of very good french ham sliced thin
8 slices of french or swiss emmental cheese
14 cornichons
butter to taste
mustard to taste
 
Make sandwich, butter both sides well.  Grill in a pan over medium heat for 2-4 minutes on each side.  Serve with mustard and 7 cornichons per person.
