Just a couple of guys on a boardwalk in Jersey. President Obama and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie renewed their odd couple political partnership Tuesday, touring boardwalk shops and arcades that have been rebuilt in the seven months after Superstorm Sandy tore through the state's coastline.
While "the Jersey Shore is back and it is open for business," Obama also told residents in Asbury Park that "we all understand there's still a lot of work to be done."
Christie told constituents he's "thrilled" with the progress that's been made since Sandy, but added that he reminded Obama that many homes and businesses have not been rebuilt.

Anthony Weiner's making gains in his bid for New York City mayor this year, according to a new poll conducted after the former congressman announced his candidacy last week.
And a Marist poll released Tuesday also indicates that a majority of New York City voters say Weiner deserves a second chance. Weiner was in his seventh term in Congress, representing parts of the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn, when he resigned from the House of Representatives in 2011 amid scandal over lewd photos sent via Twitter.
According to the poll, 19% of registered Democrats say they'd back Weiner in their party's September mayoral primary. Twenty-four percent say support City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who has long been the Democratic front-runner in the race, and if she's elected in the November general election, she'd become Gotham's first female and first openly gay mayor.

Do you think that Michael Adebolajo has ties to other terrorist orginizations or is just acting on his own?
The cleaver-wielding madman who ranted on camera about jihad, gesticulating with blood-stained hands after a British soldier was hacked to death, was raised a Christian, converted to Islam and radicalized, according to reports.
Acquaintances of Michael Adebolajo, 28, say he is the man filmed Wednesday clutching the bloody cleaver and a large knife like wicked props and screaming: “We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you.”
Adebolajo, a British citizen, and another unidentified attacker are suspected of butchering and nearly decapitating a soldier, identified as Lee Rigby, 25, of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, in Woolwich, south of London on Wednesday. Shortly after the soldier was attacked, the man identified as Adebolajo delivered the devilish diatribe that was filmed by horrified onlookers as the two killers stalked the Woolwich streets covered in gore and shouting terroristic threats.

Workers cheered and whistled as they completed the spire on New York's One World Trade Center on Friday, raising the building to its full height of 1,776 feet and helping fill a void in the skyline left by the September 11, 2001 attacks.
The spire makes the building the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, 47 feet taller than Chicago's Willis Tower, though it is substantially shorter than towers in the Middle East and Asia.
"I am very happy, but also sad, because why did we have to rebuild this tower? It's a proud day for the city," said Philip English, one of a couple dozen construction workers on hand as the spire was completed at 7:46 a.m. local time.
