The Mets were dominated by the Seattle Mariners 9-1 this afternoon at Safeco Field. Seth Lugo did not have his good stuff, and it was over early today.
Nelson Cruz drilled a first inning 3-run home run, then Leonys Martinthen homered before Ben Gamel scored on a Robinson Cano RBI single giving the M's a commanding 5-0 lead. The Mariners would add four more runs before it was over and the Mets could only muster a ninth inning RBI single from Matt Reynolds.
The are off on Monday as the trade deadline looms, but will pick things up in Colorado on Tuesday night with coverage on WOR underway at 6:05 pm.
