For a second straight night, protesters gathered outside Trump Tower to demonstrate against President Trump.
People were outraged after Trump blamed “both sides” for the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday that left a woman dead. Among the protesters on Tuesday night were celebrities Michael Moore, Mark Ruffalo and Olivia Wilde.
“You had a group on one side that was bad and you had a group on the other side that was also very violent and nobody wants to say that,” Trump said during a press conference Tuesday at Trump Tower.
Critics said that Trump was putting counter protesters on the same level as white supremacist groups.
This is the final day for President Trump in New York City after arriving on Monday. He heads back to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey on Wednesday afternoon.
