A woman was pulled to safety moments before her SUV was hit by a Long Island Rail Road train.
The vehicle was stopped at a crossing near the intersection of Mantauk Highway and Arthur Avenue on Tuesday night when the SUV was struck by another car and pushed onto the tracks. A man who heard the accident ran to the SUV and pulled the woman to safety.
Moments later the SUV was struck by the train.
The driver suffered minor injuries because of the car accident.
