Earthquake Reported in Hudson Valley

Residents of the Hudson Valley may have felt the earth move on Wednesday morning.

A 2.2 magnitude earthquake was reported in Westchester County around 6:15 a.m.  It was centered just north of Lake Mohegan in the town of Yorktown.

The quake wasn’t widely felt, but dozens of reports were made to authorities in tows like Mahopac, Carmel and Fishkill.  There were also a number of postings on Twitter and Facebook with people wondering if others felt the earthquake.

There are no reports of any damage.  No injuries have been reported.
