There's Gold In Them Thar Wings

There's a hot new food trend heading to NYC thanks to Kim Kardashian's BFF Jonathon Cheban and The Ainsworth restaurants. Gold-dusted, chicken wings.

The wings are marinated in coconut butter, gold butter, and a honey batter for 24 hours.  Then, after they are cooked, the wings are liberally sprinkled with real gold flakes before they are served.

The gold-dusted wings will hit you in the pocket a bit harder than average bar wings. An order of 10 is $30 bucks, 20 wings will set you back $60 bucks, and if you're a high roller looking to chow down in style they offer a 50 wing platter that includes gourmet blue cheese dipping sauce and a bottle of Champagne Armand de Brignac for one thousand dollars.

Mr. Cheban aka Foodgod is known for his crazy food based Instagram photos and his Foodgod grub site that features celebrities digging into odd delicacies like a cotton candy burrito.

Besides the four New York City locations, The Ainsworth has eateries in Kansas City, Nashville and two in New Jersey.

According to an article in the New York Daily News, the Ainsworth East Village and The Ainsworth Chelsea will be the first locations in New York City to add the glittering goodies to their menus.
