Cuomo and de Blasio Battle Over Subway

Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio are once again fighting over how to pay for repairs to the subway system.

The estimated cost is $37 billion over a decade and Governor Cuomo says that should be split between the state and city.  A spokesperson for Mayor de Blasio said the city has already paid enough.

“After failing miserably to secure a sustainable revenue source, we knew the governor would be back for more.  The mayor has contributed a record amount bailing out Gov. Cuomo’s subway mismanagement,” spokesperson Eric Phillips said.

Cuomo has proposed a congestion pricing plan to help fund the repairs.  De Blasio is pushing for a millionaire’s tax.
