Another Handcuffed Prisoner Flees From Police

The NYPD does a great job catching criminals, but holding on to them after they have been arrested has proven to be quite difficult at times.

Dwight Dobson was attending a scheduled visit with his probation officer at the parole office on Merrick Boulevard in Jamaica Queens last night. While talking to his probation officer a tip came in accusing Dobson of breaking the conditions of his parole so he was placed under arrest.

While one parole officer was busy finishing up the paperwork on Dobson, another cop was on the phone securing transportation for the prisoner. When the officers finished up and were ready to roll they noticed that Dobson had managed to slip out of the parole office into freedom.

According to the New York Post, Dobson had previously served three years at Edgecombe Correctional Facility for criminal possession of a weapon.

DOCCS' Office of Special Investigations along with State and local law enforcement officials are searching for the parolee.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 inch black man with dreadlocks.
