NTSB Investigates After Plane Crashes Into NJ Home

The NTSB is sending two investigators after yesterday morning's plane crash in New Jersey.

The pilot, who was the only person on board, was killed when the plane crashed into a home in Colonia in mid-morning. The home was destroyed as flames engulfed it, while two homes next door were damaged by the fire.

Surprisingly, no one on the ground was injured. A woman was in one of the neighboring homes, but escaped safely.

The plane, a Cessna 414, was flying from Leesburg, Virginia to Linden Airport during extreme low visibility. The plane came to rest in the home’s basement.
