Billy Idol Supports No Idling in New York City

Mayor Bill de Blasio received support from singer Billy Idol in a new campaign against idling in New York City.

Truck and bus drivers caught idling can be fined $350. A new public awareness campaign is telling people they can collect $87.50, 25 percent of the penalty, if they report the vehicles.

“Like most New Yorkers, I‘m troubled when I see cars and trucks sitting idle while polluting our neighborhoods,” Idol said.

“Billy Idol never idles and neither should you,” de Blasio said.
