CBS News says it made a “mistake” in using the wrong footage for a story about New York City’s coronavirus crisis.
The network news coverage aired footage of an overcrowded hospital, which viewers assumed was in New York. It turns out, the clip was from a hospital in Italy and had been aired on Sky News days before.
A spokesman says "It was an editing mistake. We took immediate steps to remove it from all platforms and shows.” Critics aren’t buying the mea culpa.
