Husband Of Pregnant 9/11 Victim Will Return To Crash Site

Jack Grandcolas feels the pain of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attackers acutely. His pregnant wife Lauren was aboard Flight 93 that went down in Pennsylvania after being hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorists.

This year, 20 years after the national tragedy in which he lost his wife and unborn baby, Jack plans to return to Pennsylvania to see the completed Flight 93 National Memorial. After his tragedy, Jack is writing a book on the grieving process to help other people.

In the September 11 attacks some 2,750 people were killed in New York, 184 at the Pentagon, and 40 in Pennsylvania. Police and fire departments in New York were especially hard-hit: hundreds had rushed to the scene of the attacks, and more than 400 police officers and firefighters were killed.
