A new survey of Americans finds that New Yorkers have the least attractive accent in the world.
Highland Titles surveyed 1,000 Americans on their perception of accents, including what they found attractive, annoying, funny and intelligent. New York was voted the least attractive, followed by Boston, and a Midwestern accent. The Canadian and Southern accents round out the top five.
Americans say the most attractive accent in the world is Australian, followed by Scottish. They're followed by London, Irish and French.
The French also have the most beautiful accent, most romantic and most seductive. Sean Connery was named as the celebrity who had the most enjoyable accent, followed by Liam Neeson.
