WOR Week in Review

Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning:

Len and Michael spoke this week with former New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton about the increased level of crime on the subways. Bratton shared what he thinks is causing it and what can be done to stem it.

Now that New York State has won the civil fraud case against Donald Trump, Attorney General Letitia James insists she will try to seize Trump’s buildings if the 45th President is unable to pay the $354 million judgement against him. That proclamation has many legal pundits wondering if James has the ability to do so, and speculating as to what Trump’s options are in the wake of the verdict. Law and Crime Network anchor Jesse Weber told Len and Michael that the legal maneuvering is far from over.

Despite its attendance woes in recent years in the wake of the Covid crisis, Broadway is still humming along. The Great White Way is resilient, and the adage “The show must go on!” certainly applies to the heart of the American theatrical experience. The 2024 calendar year is no exception, as WOR morning host Michael Riedel is quick to point out. The former New York Post theatre critic told listeners about three of the new Broadway productions they can expect to see in the coming months.
